4 DIY Hair Masks For Glowing Hair

Your hair could look dull and damaged for many reasons: change in climate, heating tools, indoor heat, poor nourishment etc. We have good news, however! Within just 20 minutes you can gain a ton of benefits for your hair with some DIY hair treatments & masks. Hair masks can rejuvenate your hair, remove dandruff and give it a nourishing, extra shine so you definitely don’t want to miss out on this!

Avocado and Honey

Avocado is a common ingredient that’s well-known for its nourishing properties for hair. This is because it contains a variety of vitamins, such as Vitamin E and proteins that play a major role in making your hair shiny and healthy.   Cut and scoop out the flesh of your avocado and mix it with organic honey. Apply it on your hair, starting with your scalp and then work it out to the ends of your hair.  Leave it on for 20-30 minutes before washing off.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon

Apple cider vinegar is a great ingredient used to combat dandruff. It can also be used to remove the buildup of hair products and conditioner in your hair. It will keep your hair shiny by balancing its pH levels.  All you have to do is combine the peel of a lemon with ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar and leave it on your scalp for precisely 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

Coconut Oil

One of the simplest yet effective hair masks you can always count on is the coconut oil mask. Coconut Oil contains amazing moisturizing, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that will help minimize breakage and reduce dandruff. Massage it onto your scalp for 5 minutes and leave it on for an hour or overnight before washing it off.

Castor Oil

With its rich fatty acids and antimicrobial properties castor oil moisturizes a dry scalp and is a great treatment for dandruff. Slightly heat your castor oil for a couple of seconds in the oven (slightly warm!), and massage it onto your scalp and down your hair. Leave it on for 15-30 minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly.

We recommend setting aside one night every week or two to pamper yourself with these hair mask treatments and show your hair some love.

Even though these DIY hair masks are effective and deliver amazing results, if you’re in need of a more professional hair treatment, call us at Grace Gold and get one of our luxurious hair treatments done for a healthy and long lasting glow.
